Tennyson Law Firm Focus Groups
Assisting Our Hingham Personal Injury Lawyers in Preparation for Trial
At our firm, every case is prepared for trial. Many may settle before trial, but we strongly believe that it is a mistake to prepare a case for settlement. A lawyer who prepares for settlement may find him or herself unprepared at trial and forced to take far less than what should be paid. Therefore, we rely heavily on focus groups to help shape the presentation of our cases.
We have our own focus group room where we bring in people that we do not know and that have no legal background. The focus group observes exhibits and testimony that has been recorded. The group also listens to arguments both in favor and against our position.
Our goal is not to "win" in the focus group but to learn. We take this time to learn what is clear and what is not and what is important and what is not in the minds of people with no legal training, much like the jury which will eventually hear the case. Trials are also a very poor place to try to learn because you don't get a second chance to make the presentation of your client's side of the story more clear or compelling.
