At Tennyson Law Firm, Settling Is Not an Option. Over 44 Years of Experience Advocating for the Injured.

Chester L. Tennyson, Jr.

Trial Attorney undefined

Growing up with limited financial means in Northampton, Massachusetts, Attorney Tennyson learned early that if you want something you have to work for it. He found his passion for the law working for Legal Services in his last year of college as well as the defender program in his last year of law school. And now, first and foremost, he knows to listen and learn from all of his clients. A "cookie cutter" approach will get "cookie cutter" results and Attorney Tennyson never wanted to run a law "mill."

He believes it is important to learn who his client is and the insights from clients not only on what happened to them but on concepts of medicine, engineering, and ways to prevent future injuries is most often very sound. This is where the framing of the case begins and though the frame gets adjusted over time as we learn more facts and concepts, the beginning is always with the client.

Listening is a skill Attorney Tennyson has developed over the past 40 years. He has also developed a very low key approach to cross examination, which he tries to never stray from as he is not very good as the boisterous lawyer in the courtroom, which is not his style.

Attorney Tennyson has firsthand knowledge of how case can affect families. His father was a mechanic and he learned the trade early from him. Chester took up racing cars when he was eighteen, the same year he lost his mother to cancer when she was 50. He believes that her medical care was poor, meaning substandard and for the poor. This has a lot to do with the fact a heavy concentration of his cases are medical malpractice.

He worked his way through college and law school as an auto mechanic and still have a full workshop complete with a lift. Aside from spending time with family, Chester enjoys solo rides on his motorcycle along the coast.

Attorney Tennyson graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1974. He then graduated from Suffolk University Law School, cum laude, in 1977.
